A daily cron script that scans all your active project repos for staleness — any project with no commits in 7+ days gets flagged in a single desktop notification each morning. For someone juggling 8+ projects, this surfaces the ones silently slipping through the cracks before a client or deadline reminds you the hard way.
Create ~/bin/stale-project-nudge as a bash script. It iterates over a list of project dirs (~/code/bys-website, ~/code/legacy-map-builder, ~/liveworkshopai, ~/joyOS, etc.), runs `git -C $dir log -1 --format=%ct` to get the last commit epoch, compares against $(date +%s), and collects any project where the gap exceeds 7 days. If any are found, it calls ~/bin/notify-focus with a summary like '3 projects idle: legacy-map-builder (9d), joyOS (12d), note-ocr (14d)'. Add a cron via CronCreate to run at 9:00 AM daily. The project list can be auto-discovered by globbing ~/code/*/ and ~/services/*/ for dirs containing .git, or hardcoded in a simple array. Under 40 lines of bash.

- Auto-discovers git repos in `~/code/*/` plus standalone repos (`~/joyOS`, `~/liveworkshopai`)
- Flags anything with no commits in 7+ days, sorted by staleness
- Sends a single desktop notification via `notify-focus`
**Cron:** Runs daily at 9:03 AM, logs to `/tmp/stale-project-nudge.log`
**Test run found 25 idle projects** — most are old cloned repos in `~/code/`. The actively-developed ones like `push-to-talk` (10d) and `claude-plan-viewer` (10d) are the ones this is really meant to catch. You could add more standalone repos to the `STANDALONE_REPOS` array as needed.
