Each night, scan the day's commits across all active projects and generate a single-page PDF 'code review companion' that syncs to the tablet by morning. Ethan can review yesterday's work with stylus annotations during coffee — catching regressions, jotting refactor ideas, and surfacing patterns he missed in the flow of writing the code.
Create ~/bin/tablet-commit-review as a bash+python script run via cron at 5:30am. Use `git -C
**Created `~/bin/tablet-commit-review`** (98 lines, executable, Python+fpdf2):
- **Scans** yesterday's commits across `~/services/russ-telegram`, `~/services/innovation-engine`, `~/linkedin-engine`, `~/code/braceyourself/bys-website`, `~/.claude` (skips dirs that aren't git repos so the missing ones from the spec degrade gracefully).
- **Batches** the full digest into a single `claude -p --model haiku` call (avoids the ~100s-per-call session-startup overhead per CLAUDE.md), asking for `Risk Flags / Refactor Opportunities / Pattern Observations / 3 Questions to Ponder`.
- **Renders** to PDF with `fpdf2`: A4, 22mm margins, Times serif at 22/16/13/12pt, e-ink-friendly. Lines are pre-chunked at 90 chars and individual rendering failures are caught + logged so a single weird path can't kill the whole brief.
- **Drops** to `~/Tablet/inbox/commit-review-YYYY-MM-DD.pdf` for the existing tablet-sync to pick up.
- **Falls back** to a placeholder section + raw digest when Haiku is unavailable, so Ethan still gets the commits to review.
- **Logs** to `~/.claude/cache/tablet-commit-review.log` (script) and `~/.claude/cache/tablet-commit-review.cron.log` (cron stdout/stderr).
**Cron** (safe-appended via `crontab -l > tmp; >> tmp; crontab tmp`):
```
**Verified** end-to-end: `~/Tablet/inbox/commit-review-2026-05-05.pdf` (1175 bytes, 1 page, `pdftotext` confirms t
