Each morning, take yesterday's git commits across all active projects and turn each commit subject into a single Socratic reflection prompt (e.g., 'You shipped X — what did you learn that you didn't expect?'). Render the prompts as a PDF and drop it into ~/Tablet/ so it shows up in Doc Markup on the TCL e-ink tablet for stylus journaling with morning coffee — turning shipping velocity into a daily reflection ritual without opening a laptop.
Create ~/bin/socratic-morning-brief: (1) iterate active project dirs (innovation-engine, russ-telegram, linkedin-engine, bys-website, .claude) and run `git log --since=yesterday --no-merges --format='%s'` to gather subjects; (2) batch-prompt them through a single `claude -p` call (numbered list pattern from CLAUDE.md to avoid the ~100s/call overhead) asking for one Socratic question per commit; (3) render to PDF via pandoc with a wide-margin journal layout; (4) write to ~/Tablet/morning-brief-$(date +%F).pdf so tablet-sync picks it up. Add cron at 6:30am with PATH export. Reuse the morning-tablet-brief / commit-whisper plumbing already in ~/bin.

- Bash syntax check passes.
- Early-exit path runs cleanly when no commits exist (current state — none of the configured repos have yesterday's commits; only linkedin-engine is even a git repo).
- Full pipeline confirmed against a synthetic temp repo: 2 commits → 22s end-to-end → 28KB PDF with rendered Socratic prompts and ruled journaling space.
**Notes**
- Plan called for `pandoc`; not installed on this machine, and existing plumbing (`commit-brief-tablet`) uses headless Chrome — kept consistency rather than adding a dep.
- Three of the five configured project paths aren't currently git repos; script silently skips th
