Focus Mirror — Innovation Engine

What was built

Each morning it compares yesterday's planned single-project focus block (from your Google Calendar) against the projects you actually committed to across all repos under ~/, then delivers a one-line 'focus alignment' verdict to your tablet. It surfaces the silent gap between the week you planned on Monday and the week your git history actually recorded — without you ever having to reconstruct where the day went.

How it works

Create ~/bin/focus-reconcile (~80 lines bash). (1) Pull yesterday's events via the gws CLI: `env GOOGLE_WORKSPACE_CLI_CONFIG_DIR=/home/ethan/.config/gws /home/ethan/.npm-global/bin/gws calendar events list --params '{"timeMin":...,"timeMax":...}'`, parse the focus-block event title to a project slug (your weekly-calendar-planner uses single-project-per-day titles). (2) Discover repos via the existing `find ~/ -maxdepth 2 -name CLAUDE.md` pattern, run `git -C log --since=midnight-yesterday --until=midnight-today --oneline` to get the set of projects actually committed to. (3) Compute alignment: planned-project-in-actual-set? plus a list of unplanned projects that stole time. (4) Emit a card to the tablet by writing markdown to ~/Tablet/ reusing the morning-tablet-brief/socratic-tablet-pipe format already established. (5) Register a 6am cron line via the safe-append pattern. Add a sibling focus-reconcile.test.bats asserting alignment math against a fixture of planned-slug + commit-slug sets.
