Intention Bridge — Innovation Engine

What was built

Each morning, generates ONE reflection card that connects what Ethan shipped yesterday (git commits) with what his calendar holds today — surfacing a single Socratic question that bridges past work and the day ahead. The existing Socratic pipeline only looks backward at commits; this is the first tool to fuse the reflection stream with the forward-looking calendar, turning journaling into intention-setting.

How it works

Create ~/bin/intention-bridge (bash, ~80 lines): (1) pull today's events via gws CLI — env GOOGLE_WORKSPACE_CLI_CONFIG_DIR=~/.config/gws-bys /home/ethan/.npm-global/bin/gws calendar events list --params '{"calendarId":"primary","timeMin":,"timeMax":}'; (2) collect yesterday's commit subjects via git log across active project dirs (reuse the discovery loop from commit-whisper); (3) pipe both into gemma-task with a prompt asking for ONE <=22-word question linking 'what you built' to 'what's on your plate today'; (4) write the card to ~/Tablet/ as a dated markdown file the morning-tablet-brief already sweeps, or call pondercard-generate. Wire a cron entry at 6:30am via the safe-append pattern. Add intention-bridge.test.bats asserting the card file is created and contains a question mark.

Done. **Intention Bridge** is live — each morning it reads what you shipped yesterday and what's on your calendar today, then writes one card to your tablet with a single question that ties the two together.

**What I built**
- `~/bin/intention-bridge` (executable, ~75 lines) — pulls today's events from your BYS calendar, gathers yesterday's commit subjects across your seven active projects, and asks local gemma for one ≤22-word question bridging finished work to the day ahead. Writes a dated card to `~/Tablet/` that your existing morning brief already sweeps. Falls back to a sensible question if the calendar is empty or gemma stays quiet, so it never produces a blank card.
- `~/bin/intention-bridge.test.bats` — 4 tests (card is created, contains a question, surfaces calendar context, survives an empty LLM response). All green.
- A 6:30am daily cron entry, safe-appended alongside your other tablet jobs.

**Verification**
- All 4 bats tests pass.
- Live end-to-end run produced today's real card with a genuine fused question ("Given the massive integration yesterday, where should we focus our polish efforts…?") drawn from your actual joyos-labs and gsd-flow commits.

One note: your BYS calendar had no events today, so the card showed "no scheduled events" — it'll fill in naturally on a day with meetings.
