Focus Fidelity — Innovation Engine

What was built

Each evening it compares the single-project focus block your weekly-calendar-planner put on today's calendar against where your git commits actually landed across all active repos, and whispers a one-line fidelity verdict to the tablet (e.g. 'Calendar said joyos-labs — but 9 of 11 commits were jekelinspections'). It closes the loop on the Monday planning ritual that nothing currently grades, turning your own plan into honest end-of-day feedback.

How it works

Create ~/bin/focus-fidelity (bash, ~80 lines). 1) Pull today's events from the calendar that weekly-calendar-planner writes to via the gws CLI: `env GOOGLE_WORKSPACE_CLI_CONFIG_DIR=/home/ethan/.config/gws-admin /home/ethan/.npm-global/bin/gws calendar events list --params '{"timeMin":,"timeMax":}'`, and parse the focus-block event title to extract the planned project slug. 2) Loop the active projects (russ-telegram, innovation-engine, jekelinspections, linkedin-engine, joyos-labs, bys-website) running `git -C ~/ log --since=00:00 --oneline --author=Ethan` and tally commit counts per project. 3) Compare planned vs actual top project; build a one-line verdict string. 4) Append it to today's tablet brief file under ~/Tablet/ (same path morning-tablet-brief writes) and fire `notify-focus`. Add a `focus-fidelity.test.sh` bats file asserting verdict logic on fixture inputs (RED first). Install a `0 18 * * 1-5` crontab line via the safe-append pattern.

## Focus Fidelity — what I built

**`~/bin/focus-fidelity`** (~95 lines, executable) — each weekday evening it reads today's single-project focus block off your calendar, tallies where your git commits actually landed across the six active repos, and produces a one-line honest verdict. The verdict gets appended to today's tablet brief, synced to the tablet, and whispered via `notify-focus`.

The five verdict shapes it grades into:
- **Off plan:** "Calendar said joyos-labs, but 9 of 11 commits were jekelinspections."
- **On plan:** "On plan: calendar said joyos-labs, and 7 of 8 commits landed there."
- Planned but idle, no focus block, and the all-quiet day each get their own line.

A few production touches: it tolerates repos that don't exist yet (3 of the 6 aren't cloned here), matches the planned slug flexibly against the calendar title instead of assuming an exact format, and honors your no-em-dash rule (commas, not the dash from the example).

**Verification:**
- `~/bin/focus-fidelity.test.sh` — 6 bats tests, written first (RED), all passing (GREEN), covering each verdict branch plus an em-dash guard.
- Live E2E run: exited 0 and wrote `[6:07 AM] No focus block on the calendar, and no commits today.` to `~/Tablet/focus-fidelity.txt` — accurate for this commit-free morning.

**Cron:** `0 18 * * 1-5` installed (weekdays 6pm), logging to `~/.claude/cache/focus-fidelity.log`. Installed idempotently, so re-running won't
