Watches the joyos-labs feedback stream and, instead of re-generating a merge plan every run, tracks each item's normalized signature across runs/days. When an error-category item recurs 3+ times while still unresolved (e.g. the '[useAuth] exchange-token failed: 500 Server configuration' that appears in 3 of your last 5 sessions), it fires ONE escalation instead of silently re-planning the same fix forever. Turns 'the daemon keeps seeing this' into 'a human needs to look at this now.'
Create ~/bin/feedback-recurrence-escalator (bash). Pull current open feedback via the `stdb` CLI against the joyos-labs module (same query the joyos-feedback-daemon uses). For each row, compute a normalized signature: lowercase, strip ids/timestamps/UUIDs, sha1 the first 120 chars. Maintain a tally at ~/.local/state/feedback-recurrence/seen.json (signature -> {count, first_seen, last_seen, category, escalated}). Increment count once per distinct daily run. When count>=3, category is error/bug, and escalated==false: send ONE escalation via `send-formatted-email admin ethanabrace@gmail.com 'Recurring unfixed feedback (Nx)' ` plus `notify-focus`, then set escalated=true so it never re-fires. Reset/decrement a signature when it disappears from open feedback (it got fixed). Add a bats test (feedback-recurrence-escalator.test.sh) asserting threshold-crossing fires exactly once and resolved signatures clear. Cron: every 4h, safe-append pattern.
