Focus Echo — Innovation Engine

What was built

At end of day a cron job compares what Ethan's weekly-calendar-planner scheduled as today's single-project focus block against which project directories actually received git commits, then writes a one-card 'plan vs. reality' summary to the e-ink tablet. It quietly surfaces focus drift ('planned: joyos-labs · shipped: russ-telegram + bys-website') so the Monday planning ritual can self-correct without Ethan ever tracking time.

How it works

Create ~/bin/focus-echo (bash, ~70 lines). 1) Read today's focus block: gws calendar events list on the personal account, grep the event whose title matches a known project slug. 2) Detect actual work: for each dir under ~/ with a .git, run `git -C

log --since=midnight --oneline` and tally commit counts per project. 3) Compute match/drift and compose a short card. 4) Write it to ~/Tablet/focus-echo/$(date +%F).md (or pipe through morning-tablet-brief's existing renderer) so it appears on the TCL Note tablet next sync. 5) Add a crontab line at `0 18 * * 1-5` via the safe-append pattern. Reuse the gws CLI invocation pattern from kristin-morning-brief and the tablet-write path from morning-tablet-brief.
