What was built
A nightly cron that scans every git repo under ~/ for commits you authored that day, groups them by project, and uses local Gemma to write a one-line plain-English summary per project — then writes it as an all-day event on a dedicated 'Shipping Log' Google Calendar. Your calendar becomes a searchable, billable record of exactly what you shipped on any given day, which is gold when reconstructing client invoices or recalling 'what did I do June 12th?'
How it works
Create ~/bin/shipping-ledger: (1) `find ~ -maxdepth 2 -name .git -type d` to enumerate repos, skipping node_modules; (2) per repo run `git -C log --since='00:00' --author='ethan' --pretty=%s` to collect today's subjects; (3) pipe the grouped subjects to the local `gemma` CLI (zero token cost) with a prompt to produce one plain-English line per project; (4) create one all-day event via `env GOOGLE_WORKSPACE_CLI_CONFIG_DIR=/home/ethan/.config/gws /home/ethan/.npm-global/bin/gws calendar events insert` on a dedicated 'Shipping Log' calendar, title = top project + count, description = the full summary. Add cron `0 21 * * *` and a regression test ~/bin/shipping-ledger.test.sh asserting the summary excludes empty-commit days and groups by repo.
