Tool Rediscovery Card — Innovation Engine

What was built

Ethan has 800+ custom tools in ~/bin but almost certainly forgets 90% of them exist, and his sessions show he keeps building new agents that may duplicate old ones. This generates a nightly e-ink card for the tablet featuring 3 dormant-but-relevant tools, chosen by matching today's session transcripts and git activity against tool names/headers — so rediscovery happens at the moment of relevance, not by memory.

How it works

Create ~/bin/tool-rediscovery-card: (1) build a corpus by running `head -20` on each executable in ~/bin, extracting the shebang comment/usage block as a one-line description, cached to ~/.cache/tool-index.json (rebuild if mtime changed); (2) extract today's keywords from ~/.claude/projects/*/[recent].jsonl user+assistant text and `git -C ~/ log --since=1.day --format=%s`; (3) score each tool by keyword overlap, then filter to tools NOT invoked in the last 30 days (grep ~/.bash_history plus `journalctl --since=-30d` for the tool name); (4) take top 3, render a markdown card with name + description + a one-line 'why now' tie to today's work; (5) write to ~/Tablet/cards/rediscovery-$(date +%F).md so it lands on the NXTPAPER via existing tablet-sync. Wire as a systemd timer at 21:00 America/Detroit next to the existing daily-*-cycle timers. Reuses the dormant-skill-resurfacer pattern but applied to the ~/bin sprawl instead of skills.
